  • Specify:
    • a position title.
    • a start date.
    • the number of openings.
    • work type: i.e., full-time, part-time, temporary, summer, internship, co-op, etc.—choose all that apply (such as full-time, summer, co-op).
    • duration of the job.

    • amount of travel required.
    • job function that best describe the position.
    • the industry that your company is in.
    • job location.
  • Qualifications: List any specific requirements you may have for this position. This field may or may not be required. If it is not, you are free to include this information within the job description. You may paste your qualifications from a word processing program, up to 2,000 characters (letters, spaces, and punctuation).
  • Offer a complete job description: Paste your job description from a word processing program, up to 8,000 characters (letters, spaces, and punctuation), into the box. DO NOT use HTML coding. E-mail addresses and URLs will be hyperlinked by the program.
  • Contact information: Specify the contact with whom this job should be associated. (You have the ability to create a new contact to be associated with this job. To do so, follow the instructions for creating a new contact.)

  • E-mail application materials: If you selected "Use System" for the application type, all resumes and cover letters will be stored in the NACElink system and are available to you at any time. You can also choose to have application material sent by e-mail. By selecting the appropriate check box, you can have applications sent to you (or an e-mail address you specify) individually as they are received, or you can have all application material sent to you in a bundle when the job goes offline. All application material submitted through the NACElink system is presented to you in .PDF format, whether it is e-mailed to you or you download it through the system.
  • Enter a job key if desired: This key will appear on the Manage Jobs page, and may provide extra information for the career center. It is a "for reference only" note field, and will not appear to students.
  1. Choose one of the two following options by clicking on the link:
  • Save Job and Post to save the job to the Manage Jobs area and post it (you will be directed to a screen where you can choose the schools you'd like to post your job to).
  • Save Job Without Posting to save the job posting to the Manage Jobs area without posting it. (This option is available only on multiple-school job postings.) You can go back later and edit before posting. To find a job you have entered without posting, click on Manage All Jobs on the desktop and look for unscheduled jobs on the Manage Jobs page

After you click Save Job and Post, you will go to a web page where you will:

  • Choose a date when the job will be activated. (Use the calendar icon or type in a date using the form mm/dd/yyyy).
  • Select the school(s) where the job will appear online. (Use the Find Colleges link to sort schools by state, metro region, or type of school.)
  • Get the total charge for your job posting. (NACElink will calculate the cost based on the number of colleges/universities you have selected. See NACElink pricing for rates.)

At the bottom of the Target Your Schools page, click Proceed to Checkout.

Checkout/Payment Information

On the Checkout/Payment Information page, you'll see:

  • The date your job will be posted online;
  • The schools where your job will be posted; and
  • The total charge for your posting.

Choose the type of credit card you wish to use.

Type in the name on the account.

Type in the zip code for the address where the credit card bill is sent.

Type in the credit card number and CVV2 security code (located on the back of your credit card, usually on the space provided for your signature). (The financial information collected will be used only to bill your organization for the job posting and resume search transactional fees. Your credit card information will be deleted as soon as the transaction is completed and will not be stored on the NACElink servers. You will have to re-enter that information each time there is a new financial transaction. NACE has a contract with VeriSign to verify credit card numbers. VeriSign may only use your credit card information for those purposes.)

Use the drop down arrows to indicate the credit card expiration date.

Click Submit Job. Your job is now submitted to those colleges/universities you selected. Note that each institution handles job postings differently. Some postings are automatically added to the job posting system for a school; other postings are sent first to a holding bin for the career services office to review and then post.

If a school does not accept your job posting you will be notified by e-mail.
